Local Giving, Global Impact
WHAT WE SUPPORT
Community Giving is a key part of the employee experience at Ritchie Bros. Based on employee feedback, supporting local economies was selected as the focus of the Ritchie Bros. community giving strategy to help us make the greatest possible impact.
At the heart of our local support efforts is our commitment to help the people and communities in which we operate thrive by focusing on the following areas:

Addressing Homelessness and Hunger
Employment Training
Ritchie Bros.’ commitment to diversity, equity & inclusion (DE&I) is also be embedded in our efforts to ensure we reflect the communities in which we operate. We create opportunities that demonstrate all are welcome, respected and valued at Ritchie Bros.
We are passionate about having a positive impact. Here are some recent examples:
- In 2022, more than 300 employees donated their holiday bonus, and the first annual Employee Resource Group holiday food drive was held. Through these efforts, roughly US $60,000 was donated to 50 food banks and non-profits throughout Canada, the United States, and internationally. Over 3,000 lbs. of food was also donated through the holiday food drive efforts.
- We continue to have a positive impact in Canada through the Ritchie Bros. Community Impact Fund through the Vancity Community Foundation. The fund helps to expand upon the charitable legacy of Ritchie Bros.
- Ritchie Bros. donated US $25,000 to the Bridges to Career Opportunities Program (Bridges) through Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC). Bridges connects unemployed and underemployed people to career and training pathways, with the majority of Bridges participants representing marginalized groups.
- Our professional auctioneers lend their talents to dozens of charity auctions each year, mostly in conjunction with a broader sponsorship.
- Since being launched at the end of 2022, over US $10,000 has been donated through the #RitchieGives Community Impact Platform, along with over 200 volunteer hours logged. The platform is currently available to full-time colleagues in Canada and the United States and enables Ritchie Bros. to match employee donations. It also provides extensive access to volunteer opportunities with employees receiving giving credits from Ritchie Bros. for every hour volunteered they can donate to non-profits.
- Ritchie Bros. was the presenting sponsor of the Lincoln Marathon in 2022 and we are continuing our relationship with the event for the foreseeable future. Lincoln is Ritchie Bros. accounting hub, and we will continue to support local initiatives and celebrate the efforts of our community members in making Lincoln a special place to work and live.

HOW TO REQUEST SUPPORT
We support charitable organizations that meet the following criteria:
- Organizational purpose that aligns with our core focus areas (supporting local businesses, addressing homelessness and hunger, employment training, and/or diversity, equity & inclusion)
- Operate in the local community of one of our auction sites or corporate offices
- Able to demonstrate a genuine need for support
