Our Strategic Approach
- 2023: Established our first company-wide Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions baseline across all RB Global brands.
- 2024: Refined our calculation methodology, incorporated more primary data and began implementing a software solution to support ongoing emissions tracking and reporting.

Our Strategic Approach
- In 2024, RB Global brought on its first dedicated Environmental Compliance Manager, who merged separate environmental procedures into one unified program covering waste management, stormwater practices, air emissions, and waste reduction. The company expanded its Environmental Compliance team in 2025 by hiring a second dedicated manager to enhance oversight, strengthen compliance efforts, and support ongoing sustainability initiatives.
- New bulletins guide how sites handle regulated waste and spills
- Expanded the California electronic recycling program to reduce impacts to landfills.
- Expanded environmental training, including a course on California's regulated waste rules
- Instituted new waste management practices at various locations to divert items from going to landfills.
- Began a comprehensive update of company-wide environmental policies.
- Strengthened spill preparedness by establishing third-party emergency response support.
- Initiated development of standardized environmental site profiles to improve visibility into site-specific permits, storage systems, waste streams, stormwater controls, and other compliance obligations.
- Ongoing practices: managing water and wastewater, reducing equipment idling, following recycling procedures, and expanding electrification at sites and offices.
- Engages third-party environmental consultants for specialized matters such as waste management, air permitting, and Phase 1/Phase 2 site assessments.
